Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), who is a former U.S. Marine was wounded and paralyzed from the waist down in battle on Earth. But soon Jake is selected to participate in the Avatar program. With the help of this program he will be enable to walk again. But this Avatar program is held in Pandora some 4.3 light years from Earth, a lush green jungle in moon where life forms exist. Some of these life forms are beautiful but most of them are terrifying and dangerous.

Humans are unable to breathe Pandora’s air, but they have created genetically-bred human-Na’vi hybrids known as Avatars.  Through his Avatar body, Jake is hoping to walk again.

Review: I really don’t like all hype about movie Avatar but I think in terms of special effects and animation this film is a feast for the senses. It surely is one of the best film of the decade and I am really captivated by its beauty, a true masterpiece for our time. Predictable story but the visuals are absolutely stunning and the world of Pandora is really cool.

If you had the opportunity to jump into an Avatar, would you? I know I would! This is what Jake Sully, the main character AKA Sam Worthington does in the soon-to-be epic hit Avatar. According to the trailer that I viewed at Apple trailers, Jake Sully is some sort of furture marine or soldier. He appears to be in bad condition, he is in a wheelchair, and has life support accessories accompanying him. He then is given the opportunity, or order perhaps, to enter an Avatar.

An Avatar is actually a body in which they can transfer Jake’s mind into. When he under goes the surgeory in the white medical room we see all kinds of futuristic computers and devices which seem to transfer all of Jakes thoughts, emotions, memories, and more importantly skills into the host Avatar body. The reason for this is becaue the planet that the Avatars live on is not like earth. Humans require oxygen where as the Avatars require different atmospheric make ups. Also to survive on the alien planet they are going to need to be as best able to and nothing is better than a real Avatar body itself.

Now I don’t want to give away the story to anyone who has not yet seen it but I must say that it is AMAZING! I suggest that you go watch it in your nearest IMAX 3-D theater.
